Car history: |
1969 Chevrolet Corvette - Not Street Legal - Good clean title - Drag race car! Originally 427ci/400hp big block car! This car has a great history of being modified by Wade Nicholason and being featured in multiple publications for its achievements. Included are the original photos as the car was being modified and built for the drag strip. We are presumably the 4th owner of the car which we have owned for the last 10 years. The car retains the original body, frame and interior. The T-Tops come off like stock, the windows roll up originally. I get asked very often how difficult it would be to return it to the street and I believe a wiring harness to make the lights and accessories function along with some windshield wipers! Of course, the engine would need completely reconstructed to operate on the street, for example if you wanted to use it for Drag Week. The engine is a 482ci big block that makes 840hp and backed by a TH400 transmission. The engine is fresh and ready for the track and nitrous. It requires C16 Race fuel. The rear end is a Dana 60 with 4.88 gear. The car weighs around 3800lbs wet. See the photos for the expanded details of the build specs, ads and publications! We dont use the car any more and would love to see it go to someone who will use it! I believe it would be an 8 second car with the right tune-up on nitrous. There is a video of the car making our first 1/8th mile pass back in 2007. $9,300 (RnM) on October 10, 2016. |
